Volunteers with Passion

The OKOVO (Otaru snow gleaming festival KOrean VOlunteers) was established in 2003 to deepen mutual understanding and friendship between Korea and Japan through participation in the Otaru Yuki Akari-no Michi (Snow Gleaming Festival) in Hokkaido, Japan.

At the same time, it aims to establish strong and warm-hearted relationship, as well as to publicize Korea to the world. To this end, the OKOVO has made effort to establish the continuous and future-oriented network of international voluntary service.

Since the 5th Otaru Snow Gleaming Festival in 2003, the participation of the OKOVO is becoming more enthusiastic as the festival is expanding and reaching out to the world. The OKOVO tries to its best to make a better festival by recruiting new volunteers every year, brisk correspondence with Japanese staffs, and active public relations efforts.
